a) A short definition of falling and being in love.
b) The “halo” song.
II. How is to be and to fall in love.
III. The way you “see” that special person.
IV. The way you feel towards him.
V. Conclusion.
“HALO”
“To fall in love is to create a religion that has a fallible god.” According to Borges, this phrase defines how is to have a crush with someone, to fall in love. It sounds like to fall in love with someone is to have your personal god, to find an angel just for you. And to be conscious of the fact that this god is not a perfect one. But no matter he could fail you, you will still believe him/her; you will be stick to him/her. Because he/she will be your everything. That is to fall in love in a short definition. In the next lines we will go deeply defining this feeling by checking out the lyrics of the song “Halo” by Beyoncé. This lyrics describes how is to be and to fall in love with someone. The way in which you “see” your soulmate through your “enamoured eyes.” How you feel towards him, and the way in which he changes your world.
To be in love with someone is to tumble down your protecting walls. Those walls that do not let you fall in love with that special person. To fall in love is to permit the other person get in your heart forever when there is no doubt about your feelings towards him. It is to remove your fears away, to let your heart totally open to that special person. Even when you swore you would never fall again, as Beyoncé said, you overcome that feeling. Because loving someone is not like to be falling.
The way you “see” that unique person through your enamoured eyes, is like he/she was so special, so different to all the people in this world. It is like that person were an angel. An angel with a beautiful halo that invites you to have him, to be the owner of such celestial being. When falling in love with someone, you cannot be aware of his/her mistakes. Instead of noticing them, you feel those errors as charming characteristics of him/her.
The way you feel towards that special person is like he/she were your superhero. You perceive his/her presence as a protecting embrace, as if everything would be o.k. just because he/she is with you. It is like he were everything you need and more; your personal sun to burn your darkest night. And you melting away just feeling his/her arms around. You get addicted to him/her when you fall in love.
So, what is to fall in love and to be in love? It is to tumble down your protecting walls, to forget about your fears of fall in love again. It is to “see” that special person as an angel and to feel the necessity of being his/her owner. And that is when you become addicted to him/her; you are in love with him/her, you have falling in love.
LYRICS
“Halo”- By: Beyoncé
Remember those walls I built
Well, baby they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make up a sound
I found a way to let you in
But I never really had a doubt
Standing in the light of your halo
I got my angel now
It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
It's the risk that I'm takin'
I ain't never gonna shut you out
Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
Hit me like a ray of sun
Burning through my darkest night
You're the only one that I want
Think I'm addicted to your light
I swore I'd never fall again
But this don't even feel like falling
Gravity can't forget
To pull me back to the ground again
Feels like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
The risk that I'm takin'
I'm never gonna shut you out
Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
Halo, halo
Everywhere I'm looking now

VI. Conclusion
ORGANIZATION PATTERN: Point by Point
SAN LUIS POTOSI AND AGUASCALIENTES
San Luis Potosí and Aguascalientes are very similar in many ways. But what are some differences between them? These differences are in weather, in some holidays that each city has, also they are different from the behavior of their citizens, and the last difference is in the way that each city celebrates its fair.
The first difference between San Luis Potosí and Aguascalientes is the weather. In San Luis Potosí the weather is mild. In summer and spring time is hot. In autumn it is cold but it is colder in winter. Aguascalientes has a more extreme weather. When it is hot it is really hot in summer and spring time. And it is colder in autumn with a lot of wind, and even colder in winter than San Luis Potosí.
About holidays each city celebrates special days on their way. For example, on Easter Friday in San Luis Potosí people make a “Procesión del Silencio” that is to recreate Christ’s passion in a procession. In Aguascalientes there is the “Romeria´s day” in Easter week. On that day, the drivers of buses and taxies carry flowers to the virgin of the Asumption.
The behavior of people varies between San Luis Potosí and Aguascalientes citizens. In San Luis people are more impolite with foreigners and not too religious. In contrast Aguascalientes´ citizens are more well-educated and friendly with tourists. Also they go to church every Sunday.
These two cities celebrate their fairs with a different style each one. The fair of San Luis Potosí is in August and its facilities are in a close perimeter with specific areas. Another thing is that in this fair you cannot drink everywhere just in a specific area. On the other hand Aguascalientes fair is in different outdoor places and you can drink alcoholic beverages everywhere. Its like a big party.
Aguascalientes and San Luis Potosí are cities with a lot of common things. However in many aspects they are pretty different as we saw; the weather, the way in that each one celebrates special dates, the behavior of their inhabitants and their fairs. The truth is that both cities belong to México and share traditions on their way.

ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY
OUTLINE
Thesis: Gay men and lesbians should be accepted as adoptive parents.
I. There’s not a reliable study about the possible effects on children who live with gay or lesbian foster parents.
1. Nowadays many children are living with a gay or a lesbian foster parent.
II. Troubled children are better understand by homosexual couples.
1. Gay families are open mind..
2. Some foster children were sexually abused.
III. More than 100 000 foster children await adoption.
1. Just 20% of the couples that want to adopt a child are able to be adoptive parents.
2. 10 % of the population of the USA is homosexual.
ORGANIZATION PATTERN 1
GAY MEN AND LESBIANS AS FOSTER PARENTS IN USA
First of all, there is not a reliable study about the possible effects (if there are) on children who live with gay or lesbian foster parents. Due to these researches can be influenced by organizations or persons who finance them, they are not reliable. But we can look at these:
Gary Gates, Lee M.V. Badgett, Jennifer Ehrle Macomber, and Kate Chambers (March 2007) study found the following: “An estimated 14,100 foster children are living with lesbian or gay parents within the United States. Gay and lesbian foster parents are raising approximately 3% of the Nations foster children.” What do these numbers can tell us? Simple, they tell us that gay men and lesbian are good adoptive parents. If they are not, the percentage of homosexual foster parents will be decreasing.
Second, troubled children are better understanded by homosexual couples. Why does this happen? Because gay families are open mind. This help troubled children to feel in an environment of confidence with their adoptive parents. At this point, it is very important to take into consideration that many of the children that are in foster care, have been suffering some kind of sexual abuse. So for them is more comfortable to be with people who have the ability of be open about sexuality.
Third, there are many children awaiting adoption: Gary Gates, Lee M.V. Badgett, Jennifer Ehrle Macomber, and Kate Chambers (March 2007) study found the following: “Currently half a million children live in foster care in the United States and more than 100,000 foster children await adoption.” For these more than 100, 000 foster children who are waiting for adoptive parents. Only 20, 000 foster children are going to have parents, because just the 20% of the heterosexual parents who want to adopt a child, is able to adopt. And if we consider that the 10 percent or 25 million of people in the USA is homosexual. We can predict that the number of foster children with adoptive households will increase. Due to same sex couples haven not the option of have biological children, they want to adopt kids. And most of them have a better social position, which means that they can offer better opportunities to children.
Although there are many reasons why gay men and lesbians should be accepted as foster parents. In most states in USA is not allowed that a homosexual couple adopt a child. For example: According to the Enciclopedya of Adoption:“Florida law continues to ban adoption by homosexuals, as not in “the best interests of the child.” (p. 156) This way of thinking is shared by many people who believe that a homosexual cannot breed good manners in a child or make of him/her a “normal” person. Also because homosexuality has always been linked with pervert things. So people tend to think that a child with gays or lesbians parents is going to be sexual abused by them.
According to what we had have been analyzing, gay men and lesbians must be accepted as adoptive parents. First, because there are not convinving studies that show evidence of bad effects at all on children adopted by homosexual parents. Another good reason is that gay couples are more sensible with troubled children, and foster children tend to be like that. And finally because more than one hundred thousand foster children are waiting for adoptive households, of them more than the 60% are not going to have one because just the 20% of heterosexual parents are able to adopt. USA needs more couples able to adopt these children. Easily the country can find these couples in the homosexual community which the majority have a good social and moral position. That is why same sex couples ought to apply to adopt children.

MY LITERACY PROCESS ESSAY
Nowadays a city lifestyle is not imaginable without having electronic tools. Living in a city means that you have a job, or attend school, or both at the same time. Besides this you probably have a family; all these aspects are part of your daily life and to optimize your time, to improve and to get easier your job or assignments at school, and to establish communication with no trouble of distances; you must be electronic literated. But, what is electronic literacy? Is the use of the computer as a tool in communication, when working, at school, etc. In the next lines you will find the way in which electronic literacy is employ in three main facets of our daily life: in our personal life, at work and at school.
Let´s start talking about the way in which we use electronic literacy in our personal life. When living in a metropolis sometimes there is no time for going out to meet people or even to get a romantic partner. In answer to this problem there are hundreds of websites created to match your soul mate, get friends, etc. Another important application of electronic literacy in the personal life is to establish or maintain communication with your relatives, friends, etc. when they live far away from you; in another city, country or even in the same state but so far to visit them. Thus you can download a messenger and have a video calling with them; you can even be talking and watching more than one person at the same time. So that you can either use a computer with an internet connection to encounter people or to communicate with others just sending an e-mail or using a chat room.
The second angle of our daily life in which electronic literacy takes part is at work. Due to the fact that we live in a globalized world we have to be in touch with businessmen around the globe. This in order to update our business or just because the company where we work asks us to do so. Through the use of video-conferences, web pages, e-mails, etc. is how we can optimize costs, arrange meetings or look for better opportunities. It is important to highlight the importance of the video-conferences, specially, because with them companies save money and time when doing business out of the city we live in.
The third aspect, and the most important, is that electronic literacy is employed at school. In present times there are only a few teachers who are very traditional and only use the board, markers and a book for teaching. Instead, teachers bring to the classroom a computer, a tape recorder, speakers and a projector to perform a lesson. In the same way these teachers with an electronic literacy ask students to use technology for presentations and when doing assignments. Use of the internet when doing homework help us to save time and even money because as a substitute of going to a library you just turn on the computer. On the other hand; when you are the teacher like when studying the B.A. in E.L.T .It is mandatory to be updated with the most recent teaching techniques, and them require that you posses an electronic literacy. First of all, due to including technology when teaching has a huge impact in the students learning and interest. They tend to respond very good to it, so that you, as a teacher, would build a better relation with them.
To sum up the relevance of the electronic literacy in a city daily life, we only have to think about in all the times we use a computer or when we desire to have one. For example: when we don not have time to talk with our family and we need to send them an e-mail at least to know if they are alive or not. Or when we are working or at school and we need to finish an assignment quickly. Surely, if the entire world could acquire an electronic literacy, everything will be easier for all of us.

WHAT ABOUT ME?
What about Me?.. My name is Greta González Gutiérrez, I am from San Luis Potosí, S.L.P. .and I am twenty-two years old. Right now I am studying the third semester of the B.A. in E.L.T. at the Universidad Autonoma of Aguascalientes in Aguascalientes City. First of all I am going to talk about my family; my mother, my father and my brother. My mother´s name is Marina. She is 55 years old and she was an English teacher. Maybe that is the reason why I chose this B. A. She is very optimistic and she is the pillar of my life. My father’s name is Gustavo. He is 47 years old. He helps me whenever I needed and I know that I am his pampered girl. And the last member of my family is Gustavo; my brother. He is thirteen years old. He is studying the 2nd grade of secondary school. He does everything for me. My family loves me so much and they would die for me and I would do so.
Now let´s talk about my likes and dislikes related to food, weather, music and movies. I find irresistible Mexican, Italian, Japanese and Chinese food. My much loved deserts are ice-cream, chocolate and pie. Concerning to weather; I prefer cold weather than hot. However; I like so much beaches when going on vacation but I prefer rather a cold city to live in. Talking about music, I have to say that I enjoy all kinds. I can listen to a pop song or a heavy metal song. Although; the genres that I listen more are pop and norteño. Regarding movies; I like romantic comedy, horror, fantasy and action movies; therefore I enjoy any kind of movie. As you can see I am not very special when listening music or watching a movie.
The third point of which I´m going to talk about is: my future. My near future, which is from now up to August of 2010, is to conclude my fourth semester in the B.A. in E.L.T. to keep my record of zero subjects failed. On the other hand, I hope to obtain a scholarship and to get a job to help my parent with the bills. For my distant future, which is from August 2010 up to the year of 2013, I plan to work as a teacher in a prestigious university of Aguascalientes and to open my own English school. Also; I plan to be traveling out of this country. Those are the most important plans for my near and far future.
Now that you have read the upper lines, you should have a clearer idea of who I am and my way of thinking. I mentioned some of the most important aspects about me. These aspects were: my family, my likes and dislikes related to food, weather, music and movies, and my future plans. So that you have a draft of Greta González Gtz.
